I love the daily walk with the dogs. It gives me time to clear my head, take a few deep breaths and look at the world in a different way. Dog's personalities are just as interesting as people and no two seem to be alike.

Is it not a great shame, what the Corps Of Engineers have done with the natural drainage within the Inner America River Systems? I have often pondered how damaging harmful acts implemented on others, by incompetent individuals within our government agencies, are some how free and clear, from the legal repercussions from law suits from all those whom have been physically, mentally and financially harmed by their mistakes. Go figure. Hope that you and yours will be safe!

I want to go splashing in that! How deep is it? Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

They are indeed the builders and designers. Your correct in saying that you can fool mother nature, nor gravity or elevation. Because of their fruitless entrapment and shrinking of the natural flow established many decades ago, they have created man made banks (weak ones if you consider what happened in New Orleans) and a series of locks, reducing natural flow, which do not allow the water to drain properly and at the flow rate necessary to displace properly. Yet they can not be found liable for the harm, destruction and cost which they have caused to others. It is Federal law that protects them from any responsibility, for their actions and incompetence! So sad! Hope your home and property elevation is ample.

I'm still in two minds whether go for another rescue dog? The thing is there is less and less fields and open spaces to even just walk dogs where I live.

Looks like spring has sprung there about as much as it has here. For some reason I keep imagining that grass and leaves grow green faster than this. Still, any day out with fresh air is a nice day out. Even an herb as sweet as basil is nothing without its bite. Lord Basil
